Evidence of change

this topic talks about the evidence changes that a living thing have  also the changes that a fossil have

like a horse ,dogs, catstiger, atc have an evidence change:

Fossils changes:

using what we`ve learned

This topic talks about all the cells and he type of blood that we heredity from our parents, the 23 pair  of chromosomein a body cell of a human male and female. The male have x and y  and the female have x and x.

First the type of blood that we can have

type A
type B
type AB
type O

the 23 pairs of chromosomes

The female inherit  two x chromosomes  and the male inherit one x chromosomes and one y chromosomes

female:

how heredity works

This topic talk abouthow heredity can pass to future generation..

What is a DNA ?

deoxyrebonucleic acid

WITH THE DNA can know the name of the person its age and other things

Predicting Traits

This topic talks about how we can know if the future generation will have traits of its mother ,father ,or other parent of its family. We can know this by using a table call punett square.

also there is a chart that trace the history of trits in a family that is called pedegree

there are 2 types of traits that are dominat traits and recessive trait and dominant trait

some dominants traits

free earlobe

widows peak

dimples

some dominant traits

attached earlobe

straight hairline

no dimples

learning about heredity

Heredity is the passaing of inhereted traits from parents to ofsprings

pollination is the transfern pollen from the male part to the female part of a plant

there are to types of traits that are dominant trait and recessive trait :

dominamt trait is a form of trait that appears in hybrid generation
recessive trait is a form of trait that is hidden

whem a person burns it  have a trit of his father or mother

Geologic Time

this topic talks about the living things that lives in past years and by the time they convert in fossils, also the ideas that prove it,and what is our area and period.

fossils are any trace ,imprint, or remains of a living thing preserved in earth`s crust
superposition is the idea that in a series of rock layers the bottom layer is the oldest and the top is the youngest

The rock cycle

Rocks are  form of little pieces of  minerals. There are three types of rocks that are igneous rock, metamorphic rock, sedimentary rock.

-sedimentary rock:a rock that forms from pieces of other rock that are squeezed or cemented together

-igneous rock: a rock that forms when hot, liquid rock material cools and hardens into a solid

metamorphic rock:is a rock that forms from another kind of rock that is changed by heat or pressure  or by a chemical reaction

Lift,Carry,and Drop

This topic talk about mass  wasting, different kinds os glaciers, etc.

Mass wasting is the dowhill movement of earth material caused by gravity

Glaciers a huge sheet of ice and snow that moves slowly over the land
there are different types of glaciers:

-valley glaciers

continental glaciers

narrower glacier

Building up and Breaking down

This topic talks different thinks like types of mountains, the shape mountains have, what is weathering and erosion, and the ifferent types of orison, etc.

weathering and erosion:
-weathering is the breaking down of rocks by natural process
-erosion is the pick up and removal of rocks particles
weathering happens first than erosion.

Soil Horizon are the different leyers of soil from surface to the bedrock
They are:
-horizon A:it is also call topsoil
-horizon B:it is also call subsoil
-horizonC:It is just the broken part of the bedrock

types of mountains:

-fold mountain

-fault-block mountain

the outer solar system

comet: a ball of rock and ice that orbits the sun

meteorid:a small asteroid wich may be far out in the solar system

meteor : a meteorid that enters Earth´s atmosphere and burns with a streak of light

meteoride:any part of a meteorid that reaches to Earth´s surface

the inner solar system

planet: a large body orbiting a star such as the sun

solar system : a star sushs as the sun and all the objects orbitng it

asteroid: a rocky metallic object that orbits the sun

kleper´s laws: laws that summarize the movements of the planets

the moon in motion

phases of the moon:the shape of lighted part of the moon seen from earth at any time

lunar eclipse v: a blocking  of a viewof the full moon when the moon passes  into Earth´s shadow

solar eclipse : a blocking out of a solar view of the sun when Earth passes throught the moon shadow

tide: the regular rise and fall of the water level along a shortline

Earth and the Sun

rotation . a complete spin on an axis

international date line: the180° line of longitude

standard time zone:a belt 15° wide in longitude in which  all places have the same time

revolution : one complete trip aroun the sun

the tools of astronomers

universe:everything that exist

telescope:a divice that collects light and make distands object apear closser and larger

refraction. the bending of waves as they go from one substance to another

reflection:the bouncing of waves off a surface

wavelength:the distance from one peak to the next on a wave

frequency:the number of waves that pass throught a point in a second

electromagnetic spectrum:waves of light in order by wave lenght
